FacileModal Implementation Guide
FacileModal has been designed and developed for a true 'Plug-n-Play' experience. The goal of this modal system is to allow the user to simply attach attributes to standard html markup in order to implement, trigger, and customize their modal.
This page will serve as a reference for users and provides code examples of the different implementations.
Here is a list of the attributes and what they control.
- data-timeout: This attribute, only if declared, will automatically trigger the modal after the defined timeout. As is standard, the timeout is measured in milliseconds.
- data-modal-width: This attribute, only if declared, will set the width of the modal to the value that is defined. The standard width of the modal is 50% of the viewport width. Below the mobile max width (as set in the LESS variables.less file) the modals default width is 90% of the viewport width.
- data-yt-id: This attribute, only if declared, will automatically generate the embed code for a youtube video.
This is a modal without an auto-trigger, no custom width, and no video embed.
The trigger for this modal is an anchor tag with its' href set to the id declaration of the content you would like to display. The trigger must have a class of 'fm-trigger' and the intended element to display must have a class of 'fm'. Declaring the class on the element you will be revealing takes care of the initial hiding of the element as well as basic stylings.
