    Choosing the right size

Measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions. In instances when your body measurements are midway between two sizes, go to the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.

If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.

Not just for running! I own several pair of men's athletic tights. Some for warmth, some for training, others for compression and, honestly, some for style, and these are the best I've found by far! The quality is super, the fit (Size small for me at 5'10", 145, lean and muscular) just perfect. Get yourself a pair! June 10, 2015
Like all Icebreaker gear...great product! I just received this to add to my winter running collection. I have a pair of heavier wool pants from another company, which work great but are not tights and work better for XC skiing. The fit is pretty good. I'm 5'9" and 163 pounds and I went with a large. I think when I get back to my regular running weight of 155 these might be a tad big but I'm sure they'll still be fine. I'm a little surprised there's no drawstring on these...that's my only complaint. Also, have never been a huge tights fan for the common reasons us guys know of, so I go with shorts over top. However I'd like to get out of this habit. I'm wondering however what to wear under these...I have a wool winter pear of boxer briefs that I'll try, I just don't want the legs to ride up under the tights. I could try a wicking brief as well...just don't want any issues with rubbing in the crotch area. I definitely recommend these...great feel, great fit, like the zips at the bottoms. Good job Icebreaker! January 11, 2015
Mild weather tights that run small I bought these to help on cool winter runs (32-40F). They do just that without adding any bulk. I would want something thicker for cooler temperatures though. Also, as some others have noted, the tights run small. I am 32"x32" and a M size would normally work - I have other Icebreaker bottoms that are M. Yet these tights are on the overly snug size around my waist, and they ride up at my ankles. December 16, 2014
Stay warm Great fit and true to size. Had a chance to try them in cool weather (mid-30s F) and they kept me warm thru my run. December 8, 2014
Warm and nice fit. I now have had a few runs with these in the 4-6 mile range. All runs were in the low to mid 30s and these kept me warm the whole time. Nice fit as well. Don't bunch or pull in the crotch area which makes them very nice as most tights I have had before never fit well. Great item and I'm sure to buy another pair if/when these wear out. December 4, 2014
Superb Running Tights I use these specifically for running in cold weather, and they have been fantastic. On days when the temperature is <20F, I layer a 200-weight pair under these. They are very, very comfortable. Absolutely no binding or chaffing, even on 10+ mile runs. With the under-layer, it does a good job withstanding the wind as well. I haven't run in the snow or rain in these yet. I plan on buying another pair before next winter. While other brands cost less, there is a clear reason for me to stick with Icebreaker: quality. Performed as Advertised Very seldom does a product live up to expectations. The Tracer Tights were warm and comfortable. I'm a Believer! January 29, 2014
Tracer tights warm, snug, but beware the low cut waist. It is a bit smaller than other models and will fit well only if you have a six pack... December 17, 2013
Great tights! I've worn and appreciated Icebreaker tights for a couple of years but these are a whole new level of excellence. The blend of wool, nylon, and spandex make them comfortable (no scratching against bare skin) while the zipper at the calf and the back pocket make them efficient and easy. December 7, 2013
Perfect for winter runs update I've had these for a month now; worn them 8 times and they don't still don't smell. I feel like I should be embarrassed but nope! I thought the nylon and elastane would counter act the ability of the wool to prevent stink but I was wrong. In regards to fitting a phone in the back pocket, I used an iPhone 4 to test it. A 5/5S in an otterbox didn't work for me and I'm betting a Samsung SIII or S4 won't fit as well. I have had no hot spots/issues with the leg zippers; Icebreaker made sure to add extra padding in this area (I usually wear low cut/ankle socks). November 29, 2013
Perfect for winter runs I bought the Tracer Tights because I wanted to do more winter running and I love them. I've used these in -5 degC with a long sleeve, icebreaker quantum vest and after a few minutes of running I am warm. I am 5'6", 155 lbs, 31" waist and got a size small. The length is just right, easy to put on because of the zippers and is not loose around the waist. There is no draw string but it's tight enough that you will never need it. The zippered back pocket is perfect for a few cards and a phone. My only complaint would be it's semi shiny when you wear them. The pics here make it look more of a matte look. November 8, 2013
