Perfect Leggings I typically don't buy leggings and when I do they're just for lounging. I'm 5' 11"and 205lbs with no shape. I find leggings can be pretty unforgiving when it comes to every little lump and bump of my thighs, but had hoped to find ones that were a little thicker yet still "sleek" without being shiny so that I could enjoy a cozy sweater and boot look. These arrived last week and fit the bill. Have worn them every day (obviously don't know about long term wear and color retention yet). They appear well-made with a waist band that (not truly wide) lays flat. I found them comfortable. They have a lot of stretch compared with many leggings, but that seems intentional and is what I wanted. I ordered an L instead of trying to squeeze myself into an M. They don't feel bulky, but are thick enough that I don't think the wind will cut right through on cooler days and firm enough to be slimming... not an unsightly lump anywhere. They are a little long for me, but I have short legs. Good look with my fleece shirt and boots today. Will be ordering an extra pair for sure! May 2, 2015
itchy :( I really wanted to love these, but I find Icebreaker leggings to be itchy. I've tried both the Sprite and Oasis leggings. I don't know why, because I wear Siren tops several times a week and also love my Swift pants. Maybe it's just me... I returned them with no problem. January 6, 2015
Instant Warmth I wore these outside all day under pants - legs stayed toasty warm. The cut is generous - I usually wear a 10 or 12 and the large was very comfortable, maybe a bit large for me in the thighs and hips - might order a Medium next time for a closer cut. But wonderful fabric - washes like a dream. December 7, 2014
Sensationally soft and wonderfully warm I was nervous because wool tends to make me itch, but this fabric is magical - light, soft, comfortable, warm, but not bulky. Absolutely perfect for wearing under dress pants or jeans for an extra layer of warmth. I read they will get even softer with washing but the instructions suggest wearing them a few times first. I LOVE them. November 3, 2014
very disappointed purchase This was first time I purchased icebreaker underwear. When I purchased I had been an absolute icebreaker-a-holic.. so i thought these would be great too. Wrong. I have previously used another brand of running leggins that are well popular and will return to that brand. The problem with these is they actually itch. and they ride up and very poor fit. And they are not very warm. I have worn my pair once and was very unhappy with everything about them. August 21, 2014
Just what I was looking for These leggings fit great. I am about 5'6" and the medium size was perfect in length and waist. I specifically purchased them for a layer underneath my rain paints and they feel great. Can also double as pajamas when on the road. May 5, 2014
Strange fit--or I'm a mutant I'm a size 0 Petite and found these to be extremely tight around the waist and baggy around the calves and ankles. They fit fine around my hips and thighs. If it helps, I wear the Siren Hipkinis in size XS, which fit perfectly, but I guess those sit lower on the hips, rather than up on the waist like these do. If your waist is tiny compared to your hips and you have muscular calves, maybe these would be better. Hope that helps :) April 13, 2014
Best Pajama Pants Ever! We took a trip to New Zealand in January, and I discovered Icebreaker merino wool socks there. A pair of City Socks made the 36 hour, four plane trip home heavenly. Once home, I discovered this site and decided to get more socks. Well, I found the various base layers, and decided to try the Sprite leggings and basic long sleeve top, with the idea of using them as pajamas to get through the remains of our polar vortex winter. It has been pure bliss to go to sleep at night wrapped up in my own personal merino close-to-skin blanket. So cosy, so soft, so "just right" warm. When it came time to wash my woolies, I put them in a lingerie bag to wash on the machine on cold water, then hung them to dry. Literally four hours later, they were bone dry and ready to wear again. What a bonus for travel. These don't just dry overnight, they dry in a single afternoon. You could wash them before dinner, and they'd be ready by bedtime! Thanks, Icebreaker, for the best pj's ever. Sprite Leggings I was recommended to try Icebreaker from a friend, because I get very cold legs during the winter months due to a particular medical condition. However, I was sorely disappointed in this product. PROS: -lightweight -comfortable -ease to layer and does not hinder movement CONS: -itchy -short in length (did not reach my ankles) -made little to no difference in improving warmth I bought this product in-store, and purchased the 150 weight on the advice of your salesperson. She felt 200 would be too thick and warm for the casual, daily city use I planned to use it for. I heeded her advice, and now deeply regret it. I wore this product three times, in hopes it would improve. I wore it under jeans each time, with boots over top. It made very little difference, if any at all, to my warmth. Needless to say, I am very upset with this purchase. I plan on exchanging it for the 200 weight leggings as soon as possible. January 6, 2014
Too big/wide I ordered the XS size and they were just too big! They barely touched my legs around the lower calf and ankle. After wearing them for a few minutes they were sagging around my knees. Please make your products in smaller sizes. December 14, 2013
These Run Short!! 5,4" and less than 110#....XS hit exactly 3" above the center of my anklebone! These are cropped underwear! Only tried on top in store and it's amply long--what's up? November 3, 2013
So versatile I initally bought these leggings as a base layer for the colder months, but I have found they are also perfect for my evening runs. They keep my legs warm and dry. October 7, 2013
Perfect for Swiss Mountains Will keep my Mom warm when i trek the Mont-Blanc. She has been using icebreaker for years. I've been seduced by this color and she loves it ! October 3, 2013
