EU Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager with 3PL warehouse management expertise and strong inventory management experience to ensure continued success in our new subsidiary in Germany
More than one third of our garments are now sold in Europe. Germany is one of our fastest growing markets and we have recently established a subsidiary there to focus on this important market.
In this role, you will determine, develop and execute operational and logistics strategies that support and enhance all aspects of our European service and delivery to world's best practice standard. Initially the focus is Germany but over time, this role may expand to incorporate the transition of existing markets’ 3PLs into a European hub for inventory management for other European subsidiaries.
This is a strong leadership and co-ordination role between senior management, corporate functions and pan-European staff.
In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and managing our 3PL warehouse relationships, including implementing operational policies and procedures and business controls,
- Providing strong operational leadership by driving best operating practices, particularly around inventory planning and management and data integrity
- Implementation and management of ERP and integration with key accounts, so that operationally we are a valued business partner for our retailers
We need someone to come in and hit the ground running. To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and skills:
- demonstrated expertise in setting up and managing pan-EU 3PL warehouse relationships for a seasonal business, including implementing business controls - budgets, programs, milestones and reports, preferably in the apparel industry for a business of a similar size,
- proven negotiation & problem solving skills to support dialogue & performance management of 3PL, major shipping companies and transport companies
- demonstrated EU leadership through driving best operating practices, particularly around inventory management and data integrity
- expertise in and knowledge of inventory planning & buying processes and applications
- experience with mid-tier ERP implementation and integration with key accounts
- fluency in English and German is essential, and Dutch and French are strongly preferred in addition
- business qualification, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics
