You will be responsible for the retail channel sales and profit budgets being met by providing business leadership to store managers; developing, recommending and initiating strategies to enhance performance of our 7 (and growing) Touch Labs and Outlet stores; ensuring operational policies and processes are optimised and adhered to; managing retail HR and recruitment processes,  devising and implementing outlet promotions, managing the annual training calendar including product, sales and customer service programs, and actively contributing to the sharing of retail best practice globally.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Essential to have 2-3 years’ experience in accounts with experience in AP/AR, reconciliations;
  • Good working knowledge of Excel;
  • Fluent in both English and French (spoken);
  • Experience with accounting software; Knowledge of Navision an asset;
  • Communication skills must be strong as you will be required to liaise with staff from various teams and backgrounds, as well as customers across the country;
  • Proven initiative and problem-solving ability;

Finance Assistant

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team in Germany.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and appropriate reporting for Germany, Norway and Sweden. You will also assist with the monthly accounting cycle including preparing journals, closing trial balances, updating forecasts, process bank journals, maintain the fixed asset register, ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information in the system, prepare intercompany reconciliations, prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and skills:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an accounting role, in a seasonal, product based company, including:
    • accounts payable experience
    • accounts receivable experience

The Customer Operations Manager will work closely with the Sales Operations Manager, Sales Manager and the Customer Services Team to maximize Icebreaker commercial success through the execution of on time product delivery and order hold management.

The role holds accountability for active order management and full responsibility of the warehouse management as well as key involvement in inventory control strategy, processes and customer services leadership for Icebreaker.

In addition, this role holds accountability for inbound logistics coordination of inventory and merchandizing imports.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • A proven track record in Operations in the apparel industry, with a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in Wholesale, Retail, and E-Commerce channels;

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support person to join our team in the US.

Based in the Portland office the Desktop Support role will be working with the Operations team based in Wellington to support Icebreaker North American operations with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology.

Support includes specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines. You will work with vendor support contacts, ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly and purchase hardware and software.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following experience and skills:

  • Completed or studying towards a relevant I.T tertiary qualification ;
  •  At least 4 years experience supporting Windows XP, Vista desktop/laptop PCs with Mac experience an advantage;
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication and relationship management skills;
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs;

Product Developer - Sock & Accessories

We are looking for an energetic, computer savvy, passionate individual to be part of our expanding Product Design Team.

Icebreaker is one of the world’s most innovative and dynamic names in the apparel industry.  With our design team located in the Pearl District and a Retail Store on the Corner of 11th and Burnside, Oregon is now truly established as a second home for this New Zealand born brand.  We supply our merino clothing to over 400 retailers in the USA and we’re growing quickly across all channels.


Based in the Portland Design office, you will be responsible for execution of all sock and accessories ranges ensuring all factories are supplied with relevant specifications and samples in order for them to proceed with sampling, development and production. You will be the key liaison for all product related matters within the development process.

  • Essential to have a minimum 5 years experience within the apparel industry in a product; development role specific to socks and/or seamless, flat knitting, accessories, and/or circular knits;

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent in textiles and garment technology;

  • Essential to have a very high level of computer literacy and an affinity for technology; strong Excel and Adobe Illustrator skills are critical; Point Carre a plus;

  • Proven communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with individuals, internal team, and external contractors;

  • Essential to have a flawless attention to detail;

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through skills;

  • Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism;

  • Must be able to travel internationally to Global headquarters and Manufacturing partners 3 – 6 times a year;

Our talented, passionate and fun Product team based in Portland, Oregon, United States is looking for a Technical Designer to join the team.

Reporting to the Product Development Director, you will be an integral part of our Product Development team bydrawing on your technical knowledge of product fit, patterns, and construction to develop the Icebreaker fit strategy and drive the integrity of Icebreaker fit.   To successfully execute the seasonal product line goals, you will also provide the Product team and manufacturing partners with tools, guidance, and leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • A minimum 5 years of experience and a proven track record in a pattern making role in the apparel industry;
  • Deep understanding of the product creation process;
  • Experience creating patterns, grades and marker;
  • Experience writing product specs and constructing and fitting garments;
  • Experience instructing a manufacturer to make necessary changes to patterns, constructions or materials to ensure and improve manufacturability
  • Expert knowledge and use of pattern CAD software;
  • High level of computer literacy and an affinity for technology;
  • Proven skill at problem solving and continual innovation;
  • Experience interpreting design intent and offering alternate solutions;
  • Proven communication skills including experience communicating effectively with Product Designers/Developers and external teams;
  • Great time-management and prioritizing skills;
  • Strong relationship building and management skills;
  • Flawless attention to detail;
  • Flexible and able to adapt well to changing business requirements;
  • A great sense of humor and ability to contribute to the team culture.
