Icebreaker was born in 1994 after the late Sir Peter Blake set a world circumnavigation record wearing our first Bodyfit 260 prototype. He was so excited he wrote us this endorsement and gave it to us free. This gave us the confidence to launch Icebreaker thermal underwear, and we've been experimenting with Icebreaker merino in the outdoors ever since.
