Overview of key elements in this document. Does this Site use cookies?

Yes, our Site uses cookies.

This cookie policy ("Cookie Policy") applies to all digital means through which you can interact with us (collectively, “VF Digital Platforms”), which include the website www.icebreaker.com (the "Site"), our emails and mobile applications. VF Digital Platforms are operated by VF International Sagl, Via Laveggio 5, 6855 – Stabio, Switzerland (“we”, “our” or “us”) acting as data controller. For our general privacy policy, click here.

This Cookie Policy describes and informs you about our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, such as flash cookies, server logs, web beacons or pixel gifs, in the course of our business, when you interact with the Site or any other VF Digital Platforms.

Please note that third party websites, which may be linked to VF Digital Platforms, are not covered by this Cookie Policy.

By clicking the "Accept All" button on the Site's Cookie Banner or by setting your cookie preferences through our tool, you are agreeing to our use of cookies and similar tracking technologies in line with your current cookie preferences and in accordance with this Cookie Policy.

If you do not agree to our use of cookies and similar tracking technologies in this way, you should set your cookie preferences or browser settings accordingly. You will always be able to withdraw your consent and change your cookie preferences at any time through our tool

Once you have accepted the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site, notably through the use of the "Cookies preferences" function available on the Site's Cookie Banner, your preferences with regard to the use of cookies might be saved in the form of a cookie for your future visits to the VF Digital Platforms for as long as you do not remove the cookies stored on your device. If you don't enable cookies that we use, some parts of the VF Digital Platforms may not work properly and some functionalities may be unavailable, depending on the type of cookie you have not enabled.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent to your device by the Site and, possibly, by other VF Digital Platforms. Cookies are uploaded onto your device, thus allowing VF Digital Platforms to recognize you and store certain information concerning you, in order to permit or improve the service offered. A cookie will usually contain the name of the website from which the cookie has come from, the "lifetime" of the cookie (i.e. how long the cookie will remain on your device), and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number.

As regards the lifetime of cookies, two types of cookies may be used: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your browsing session. Persistent cookies remain longer on your device, for the duration of each specific cookie, and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date).

Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website and identify users returning to a website. Cookies do not normally contain information that directly identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

Across VF Digital Platforms, we might also use other types of tracking technologies, such as flash cookies, server logs, web beacons or pixel gifs . These technologies are similar to cookies in that they are stored on your device and can be used to maintain information about your activities and preferences.

What types of cookies do we use and what are they for?

We may use different types of cookies.

We may use what we call "required" cookies to enable core Site functionalities, such as logging-in and completing an Order for Products. These cookies do not collect personal information for marketing purposes and cannot be disabled. “Required” cookies are activated by default, without user consent, because these are necessary for the Site to work properly and in a secure way.

All other cookies and tracking technologies not classified as “Required” are disabled by default and subject to consent.

"Functional" cookies provide more advanced functions, such as remembering log-in details, remembering what is in your shopping cart and remembering your preferences such as language and country, analyzing Site usage to measure and improve performance. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. These cookies can be disabled in accordance with Section "How can you control, delete or withdraw your consent to the use of cookies ?" below.

“Performance & Analytics” cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources, so we can measure and improve the performance of our Site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our Site and will not be able to monitor its performance. These cookies can be disabled in accordance with Section "How can you control, delete or withdraw your consent to the use of cookies ?" below.

Finally, "Targeting" cookies may be used to keep record of certain behaviors or preferences expressed by you, so as to present content that is more relevant to your interests and show you relevant adverts on other websites, in compliance with the applicable data protection and privacy laws and upon collection of your express consent if required by law. These cookies may be set through our Site by us or our advertising partners. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, the advertising you will receive will not be tailored on your interests. These cookies can be disabled in accordance with Section "How can you control, delete or withdraw your consent to the use of cookies ?" below.

If you enable Targeting cookies, this may result in your personal data being communicated to third-party online media, search and/or advertising platforms, to support targeted marketing and advertising campaigns and to measure and optimize the effectiveness of such campaigns. This refers, for example, to the dedicated technologies implemented by Meta (Pixel, Conversions API) and Google (Enhanced Conversions). Please refer to the below table for the full list of tracking technologies actually implemented on the Site. These third parties might process your personal data, alternatively, as data controllers or data processors, according to their privacy policies and practices.

In any case, our cookies do not run programs on users' device nor upload viruses on it, and do not allow any kind of control over the device.

Cookies commonly used on this Site are listed in the table below. From time to time, we may also use additional cookies and tracking technologies not listed in this table. You may obtain an updated list of all cookies and tracking technologies used on this Site at the time of your visit upon request by contacting our Privacy Office (at privacy_europe@vfc.com). In any event, you can always withdraw your consent or manage all cookies and other tracking technologies used on this Site through our Cookie Preferences tool.

Third Party cookies

When you use VF Digital Platforms, you may interact with a variety of third-party services and software, which means that cookies may be placed on your device by third-parties , such as e-mail service providers, advertisers or analytic systems(third-party cookies). We do not control the placing of these cookies and you should check the relevant third party's website or mobile apps for more information about these cookies or information on how to opt out. The relevant third party is responsible for providing you with information regarding the cookies they place and obtaining your consent before placing cookies on your device. We are not responsible for any content, privacy practises or use of the third party's website or mobile apps.
