PRIZE DRAW OFFICIAL RULES
“Win an icebreaker merino base layer”
VF NORTHERN Europe Limited (hereinafter the “Promoter”), whose company registration number is SC047368 and registered office is at C/O Brodies LLP Capital Square, 58 Morrison Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8BP, is organising a Prize Draw called “Win an icebreaker merino base layer” (the "Prize Draw") in partnership with VF International SAGL, with registered office in Via Laveggio 5- 6855 Stabio, Switzerland (VAT No. CHE-111.650.898).
Entry into the Prize Draw is free and no purchase is necessary. By entering into the Prize Draw, Participants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the following rules (the “Prize Draw Rules”).
Promotion period
The Prize Draw runs from 22/11/2022 at 10:00 (CET) to 21/01/2023 at 23.59 (CET) (the "Promotion Period").
The Promotion Company’s computer is the official clock for the Prize Draw.
Eligibility
Entry into this Prize Draw is open only to legal residents of UK, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (the “Participant/s”).
Entrants must have a Facebook and/or a Instagram account (the use of which is subject to Facebook and Instagram’s own terms and conditions).
How to enter the Prize Draw
During the Promotion Period, all Participants who subscribe to the icebreaker newsletter via the method outlined below, will automatically be eligible to enter the Prize Draw. To subscribe to the icebreaker newsletter, Participants will be required to complete the registration form on Facebook or Instagram by providing the requested information (name, surname and e-mail address). Participants who subscribe to the icebreaker newsletter on the https://www.icebreaker.com/en-gb/home website will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
Participants shall only be entitled to make one (1) entry into the Prize Draw. Multiple Participants are not permitted to share the same Facebook or Instagram account.
Participants subscribing to the icebreaker newsletter to enter the Prize Draw must provide accurate and complete information when completing the registration form.
Prize
There will be a total of three (3) prizes awarded as part of the Prize Draw. The prize consists of a icebreaker base layer (Merino 200 Sonebula Long Sleeve High Neck Thermal Top), worth £ 95,00 (the "Prize")
The Prize cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
The Prize is not transferable to any other person and no cash or other alternative arrangements will be offered.
Restrictions
Employees of the Promotion Company, and their immediate families, their agents and other people involved in the organisation and management of the Prize Draw may not enter the Prize Draw.
There is a limit of one (1) Prize per Participant.
The method for awarding prizes
By 31/01/2023 the Promotion Company will select three (3) winners at random from all the entries that have complied with the Prize Draw Rules. The Promotion Company will also select ten (10) runner-ups at random after the winner is selected.
A runner-up shall only be used if a winner fails to claim the prize in accordance with these Prize Draw Rules or is disqualified from the Prize Draw for non compliance with the Prize Draw Rules.
The selection of the winners and runner-ups is final and cannot be contested unless the Promotion Company has breached the Prize Draw Rules.
Winner notification
Winners of the Prize Draw will be notified of their win by e-mail (using the e-mail address provided by Participants upon registration as detailed under the heading “How to enter the Prize Draw”) within five (5) working days from the final draws (which shall take place by 31/01/2023).
Winners will have five (5) calendar days from being notified of their win to reply to the notification email accepting the Prize and providing all the information requested by the Promotion Company.
If a potential winner:
- cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt;
- fails to provide the information requested;
- the Prize is rejected by the winner;
- the prize notification is returned as undeliverable; or
- in the event of noncompliance with these Prize Draw Rules and requirements,
the winner will have forfeited such Prize and it will be awarded to a runner-up.
The first runner-up with will be contacted in the same manner as described above and, if necessary, the process repeated until the Prize is finally awarded to a runner-up.
In the event that having followed the awarding process described above, the Prize cannot be given to a winner or a runner-up, the Promotion Company reserves its right not to award a Prize.
The Promotion Company reserves the right to require winners to provide a valid form of identification proving their age and identity before receiving their Prize. Any identity verification document produced must be in the name of the person who has entered the Prize Draw.
Prizes will be delivered by the Promotion Company within 30 days of winners formally accepting their Prize in accordance with the above Prize Draw Rules. The full costs of delivery of Prizes (e.g. postage, customs and import VAT) shall be borne by the Promotion Company.
The Promotion Company shall not be liable to any winner with whom contact and/or delivery cannot be made due to:
- incorrect or incomplete information provided at registration
- the winner’s mailbox being full, blacklisted, or no longer active
- the notification email being deemed to be spam and thus not reaching the winner's email account or being directed into the junk folder of the winner's email account.
Personal data
The processing of any personal data of Entrants, as necessary to enable the participation to the Contest, will be carried out by the Promotion Company, in its capacity as Data Controller. Furthermore, upon prior express consent from the relevant Entrant, personal data may be processed also for profile-based marketing purposes by Promotion Company’s affiliate entity VF International Sagl, with registered offices in 5, Via Laveggio, 6855, Stabio, Switzerland, in its capacity as Data Controller.
Consent to the processing for profile-based marketing activities is optional, and a denial will not negatively affect participation to the Contest.
Personal data will be processed in compliance with the current laws and regulations applicable to the processing of personal data, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation N. 679/2016 (GDPR) and retained for the time necessary to fulfil the data processing purposes herein described, except when longer or shorter retention periods are provided for by law.

By participating in the Prize Draw, Participants hereby agree to the Promotion Company’s collection and usage of their personal information for the administration of the Prize Draw and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Promotion Company’s Privacy Policy.
General conditions
The Promotion Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Prize Draw or these Prize Draw Rules should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its reasonable control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Prize Draw. In such case, the Promotion Company may select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Promotion Company.
Upon suspension or cancellation of the Prize Draw, the Promotion Company cannot be held liable for any expenses incurred or damages suffered, whether direct, indirect, consequential or inconsequential, and the Promotion Company shall not be obliged to organise any alternative Prize Draw or offer any alternative prize.
Multiple registrations or participation are forbidden. Any attempt by a Participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, identities, registrations or any other methods will result in the removal of the participation of the Participant, who may be excluded from this Prize Draw. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
The Promotion Company may prohibit a Participant from participating in the Prize Draw or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said Participant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Prize Draw by cheating, hacking, deception or other unfair playing practices (including, but not limited to, the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Participants or Promotion Company representatives.
The Promotion Company is not responsible for any technical problems or human error that may result in an entry not being received or being lost or damaged or for any destruction or alteration of, or unauthorised access to registrations and entries.
The Promotion Company reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Participants (including a Participant’s identity, age, etc.) and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with these Prize Draw Rules.
Save where the Promotion Company has been negligent or in relation to the Promotion Company's fraud and to the extent permitted by law, the Promotion Company shall in no way be liable for any injuries, losses, damages or expenses suffered or incurred by any winner of the Prize Draw, as a direct or indirect result of participating in this Prize Draw and/or accepting a prize.
Acceptance of these Prize Draw Rules is a condition of entry into the Prize Draw and entry indicates full acceptance of these Prize Draw Rules.
The Prizes quoted are subject to availability and, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, or circumstances outside of the Promotion Company’s reasonable control, the Promotion Company reserves the right to amend, withdraw or substitute any part of this Prize Draw and/or Prize for an alternative arrangement of equal or greater value. The Promotion Company will communicate any such change in a timely manner to all Participants that have registered a valid email address.
Failure by the Promotion Company to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Promotion Company shall make the name of the winners available upon request for 60 days after the Promotion Period has closed.
If any term of these Prize Draw Rules shall be found to be void or contrary to law, such term shall be deemed to be severable from the other terms and provisions herein, and the remainder of the Prize Draw Rules shall remain in effect.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.
These rules shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Promotion period
The Prize Draw runs from 06 October 2022 at 10:00 (CET) to 21 November 2022 at 23:59 (CET) (the "Promotion Period").
The Promoter’s computer serves as the official clock for the Prize Draw.
Eligibility
This Prize Draw is open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (the “Participant/s”).
Entrants must have a Facebook and/or Instagram account in good standing.
How to enter the Prize Draw
During the Promotional Period, subscribers to the icebreaker newsletter via Facebook or Instagram will be automatically eligible to enter the Prize Draw. Participants must complete the entry form on Facebook or Instagram with their details (name, surname, and email) to subscribe to the icebreaker newsletter. Newsletter subscriptions via the https://www.icebreaker.com/ website are not valid for entry into the Prize Draw.
Participants will have one (1) entry into the prize draw. Multiple Participants are not permitted to share the same Facebook or Instagram account.
Participants subscribing to the icebreaker newsletter must fill in the entry form with accurate and complete information to enter the Prize Draw.
Prize
There are five (5) prizes to be won.
The Prize is a £50 voucher* valid until 31/12/2022.
The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash payment or other alternative is available.
* These vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts and are only valid for purchases over £100.
Restrictions
The Promoter’s employees and agents and their immediate family members, and any person involved in the organisation and management of the Prize Draw are not eligible to enter this promotion.
There is a limit of one (1) Prize per Participant.
The method for awarding prizes
By 30/11/2022, the Promoter will select five (5) winners by random draw from among all eligible entries per these Prize Draw Rules. Once the winner is selected, the Promoter will randomly draw ten (10) runners-up.
Prizes will be allocated to a runner-up if the selected winner fails to claim the Prize in accordance with these Prize Draw Rules or is disqualified for not complying with them. Runners-up will be contacted in the order they were drawn.
The selection of winners and runners-up is final and cannot be appealed unless the Promoter has breached the Prize Draw Rules.
Winner notification
Winners of the Prize Draw will be notified via the email address used to register (as described in the rule “How to enter the Prize Draw”) within five (5) working days of the final draw (which will take place before 30/11/2022).
Winners have five (5) calendar days of notification to reply and accept the Prize and provide the information requested by the Promoter.
If:
- a winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of the first notification attempt
- a winner fails to provide the information requested
- a winner rejects the Prize
- a notification is returned as undeliverable
- these Prize Draw Rules and conditions are not complied with,
the winner will forfeit any claim to the Prize, which will be awarded to a runner-up.
The first runner-up will be contacted as per the procedure described above. If necessary, the process will be repeated until the Prize is awarded.
The Promoter reserves the right not to award a Prize if it cannot be allocated to a winner or a runner-up.
The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of age and identity before awarding the Prize. Any identity document must be in the name of the person entering the Prize Draw.
The Promoter will deliver the Prizes within 30 days of acceptance in accordance with these Prize Draw Rules. The Promoter will bear all delivery costs (e.g. postage, customs, and import VAT).
The Promoter will not be held liable for failure to contact the winners and/or deliver the Prizes due to:
- incorrect or incomplete information provided at registration
- the winner’s mailbox being full, blacklisted, or no longer active
- the notification email ending up in the recipient’s spam folder.
Personal information
The Promoter will process the Participants’ personal data required for entering the Prize Draw as the Data Controller. In addition, with the Participant’s prior express consent, personal data may be processed for profile-based marketing purposes by the Promoter’s affiliate entity, VF International Sagl, with registered office in 5, Via Laveggio, 6855, Stabio, Switzerland, as the Data Controller.
Consent to data processing for profile-based marketing purposes is optional. As a result, refusal to provide it will not affect the entrant’s participation in the Prize Draw.
Personal data will be processed in compliance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation No. 679/2016 (GDPR), and kept for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described herein, unless longer or shorter retention periods apply under applicable laws.
